The Building Inspections staff review building plans and permit applications, issue building permits, and conduct a
wide range of field inspections including construction, rental housing and property maintenance inspections to ensure compliance
with state and local building and zoning codes.
The City requires that a building permit be submitted to City Hall for all work to be done to the outside of a
structure, including decks and pools, or on work to the inside of a structure. These permits can be downloaded from this page, and
either mailed to or dropped off at City Hall with the appropriate fee.
