City of Victoria Notice of Candidate Filing

The City of Victoria General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.  The following City Council offices are up for election:

MAYOR - One (2) Two-year term

Beginning January 1, 2011 and ending December 31, 2012

COUNCIL MEMBER - One (4) Four-year term

Beginning January 1, 2011 and ending December 31, 2014

COUNCIL MEMBER - One (4) Four-year term

Beginning January 1, 2011 and ending December 31, 2014

The City Clerkwill be accepting the filing of Affidavits of Candidacy at City Offices located at 7951 Rose Street, Victoria, Minnesota between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. beginning on August 3, 2010. Affidavits must be signed, notarized and filed in person to the City Clerk. The last day to file Affidavits of Candidacy is Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.  The filing fee is $2.00.  Candidates may withdraw Affidavits of Candidacy until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010.
