The City of Victoria has a Paid-On-Call (Volunteer) Fire Department consisting of 31 firefighters
who live or work in the City of Victoria.
The Victoria Fire Department expects a high level of professional conduct from all members. Each
members is required to be familiar with and abide by all Fire Department rules, regulations, policies and operating guidelines.
These stringent guideline's help prepare the community's firefighters meet the challenge that each alarm brings when duty calls.
The Victoria Fire Department members are notified of an emergency by carrying a pager that is activated from the
Carver County Sheriffs Office 911 Center. Our agency works closely with the Carver County Sheriffs Office and Ridgeview Medical
Center Ambulance Service on all emergency runs. Also we work and train closely with neighboring Cities of Carver, Chanhassen,
Chaska, Excelsior, St. Bonifacius and Waconia. We also work closely and train with the Carver County Hazmat Group and the Carver
County Dive Team. Victoria Fire Department has members that are also members of Hazmat Group and Dive Team.
All of our members are Firefighter I certified and over 60% are Firefighter II certified. All members
are First Responder Certified and out of those 9 are EMT certified. The Victoria Fire Department members appreciate your support as we continually strive to make the City of
Victoria a fire safe city.

Our major resources include: 2 Engine's, 2 Water Tankers, 1 Grass Rig, 1 Rescue Rig, 2 Utility Rigs,
1 Large Boat, 1 Small Boat and 1 Command Vehicle.
Other key resources include: Opticom signal controls on all emergency equipment and at all semaphores,
Integrated PASS/SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), 2 Car Extrication Units with multiple pieces of equipment, Class
A & B Foam along with a portable unit, and 3 AED Units.
