Street and Trail Maintenance
Street and Trail Maintenance
The life expectancy of the City's paved transportation routes (trails and roadways) is dependent on the quality of the initial construction and preventative maintenance.  Preventative maintenance including methods such as crack sealing, seal coating and routine overlays are critical to extending the useful life of pavements.  Even with preventative maintenance, a paved surface will require construction at the end of its useful life.

The links below show the projected construction areas based on the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and maintenance areas for the next five years.  The CIP map shows projected reclaims, partial reconstructions and full reconstructions, while the others show the proposed maintenance areas.  These maps are solely for planning purposes.  Each year the projected maintenance and construction will need to be determined based on current studies, needs, and budgets.  Impacted residents will be notified as projects move from planning stages to implementation.
