Tree Trimming
Why does the City trim trees?
The City trims trees for many reasons:
  • Removal of safety hazards
  • Vehicle and pedestrian clearances
  • Clearances for street signs, street lights, utilities and buildings
  • Life cycle trimming to promote good tree health

When is the best time to trim trees?
Late winter is the best time to trim your tree. Pruning is best in February and March because the trees are mostly inactive or dormant.
