SNOWMOBILES
Snowmobile Operation Prohibited in the Victoria Central Business District
Snowmobiles are prohibited on Victoria Drive between Stieger Lake Lane and Arboretum Boulevard, or on any street in the Central Business District of Victoria. If you have any questions, please contact the City of Victoria at 952-443-4210.
Snowmobile Operation Prohibited on LRT Trail Leading into Victoria
Snowmobiling on the LRT Trail into Victoria has been prohibited since 2006. The Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) owns these corridors and has established a policy banning snowmobiles on the trail. If you have any questions, please contact the HCRRA at 612-348-9260.
Snowmobile Operation Prohibited on the Trail through the Carver Park Reserve
The trail through the Carver Park Reserve from County Road 11 to Stieger Lake Lane is closed to snowmobile traffic by the Three Rivers Park District. Therefore, access to the Victoria downtown area via the LRT and the Carver Park Trail from Chanhassen and Waconia is now prohibited.

Traffic crashes are the leading killer of Minnesota teens. To minimize risks of injury or death, new laws limiting teen passengers and nighttime driving will help teens hone driving skills during the first year of licensure and reduce exposure to high-risk situations. Violating these laws is a misdemeanor.
Did you know that during the first six months of licensure that driving is prohibited between midnight and 5 a.m.?
Did you know that for the first six months of licensure that only one passenger under the age of 20 is permitted, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian? Did you know that for the second six months of licensure no more than three passengers under the age of 20 are permitted, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian?
Did you know that drivers and passengers under age 18 must wear a seat belt or be properly secured in a child restraint?
Did you know that it is illegal for drivers under age 18 to use a cellular/wireless phone, whether hand-held or hands-free except to call 911 in an emergency?
Did you know it is illegal for all drivers to compose, read, or send text messages or access the internet on a wireless device while on the road?
Did you know that it is the law that you must slow down or keep a free lane if possible between freeway service patrol, road maintenance or construction vehicles with warning lights activated?
CRIME ALERT
The Carver Co. Sheriff's office is inviting citizens to join a Crime Alert Network
The Carver County Sheriff's Office is implementing a Crime Alert Network and would like to invite you to participate.
This network will allow you to receive emails or faxes relating to crime prevention, emergency related notices, or news
updates sent out by Carver County Sheriff's Office. These bulletins may relate to Amber Alerts, weather emergencies, crime alerts
(i.e. thefts, assaults, burglaries, etc(), or emergency directives. It is simply one more way to get important information out to our
community members.
This service is free, the only requirement is that you have access to the internet or you have a facsimile machine.
To register, simply access our internet webpage, or call the number below. We will need your name, email address or facsimile number.
Your information will then be entered into a secure database. The Sheriff's Office will not share your information with any other
entity/agency. This system is reserved for crime alert bulletins or information the Sheriff's office determines will help maintain
the safety of you, your family, and your community.
