Truth in Taxation
The City of Victoria hosted its Truth in Taxation hearing on December 11, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at in Council Chambers at the Victoria City Hall, 1670 Stieger Lake Lane, Victoria, Minnesota 55386. This was a time for the public to hear a general review of the City’s budget and levy and an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed budget and levy, prior to Council adoption. Property Taxes
How much do Victoria homeowners pay in property taxes? The amount due depends on a number of factors, including the following.
  • Levies from the City of Victoria, Carver County, school districts and other taxing agencies
  • Market value
  • Property classification

Learn how property taxes are calculated and property tax revenue is apportioned among taxing jurisdictions including the city, county, school district and any special taxing authorities. The city’s taxes are approximately 25% of the total tax bill.

Special Assessments
View the list of levied assessments (PDF), as of January 1, 2024.  Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information, however, neither the City of Victoria or its employees assume any liability in the event of error or admission.

To find out if a levied assessment has been paid since the beginning of the year, email Trisha Pollock at tpollock@ci.victoria.mn.us and include the parcel identification number (PID) and property address.
