Property Taxes and Special Assessments

Property Taxes

How much do Victoria homeowners pay in property taxes? The amount due depends on a number of factors, including the following.

  • Levies from the City of Victoria, Carver County, school districts and other taxing agencies
  • Market value
  • Property classification

For 2018, the median value for a home in Victoria is $396,700. That home would pay about $1,294 in city property taxes annually, or about $108 a month for city services such as snow plowing, police and fire services, elections and parks and recreation.

Total property taxes vary depending upon the school district in which a home is located. Most homes in the City of Victoria are located in District 112, Eastern Carver County Schools. Total property taxes for a home in this district in 2018 are $5,213, with city taxes making up about 25% of the total.
