Marsh Lake Road

Project Description

Marsh Lake Road, from CR 11 to CR 43, is currently a two-lane, unpaved, 55 mile per hour City-road. The road is the future extension of County Road 14 (Pioneer Trail). In 2015, the City met with representatives from Carver County to discuss transportation priorities throughout the City. The upgrade of Marsh Lake Road was identified by the City Council as a high priority. The current gravel road cannot support the increasing traffic. The County and City share responsibility for funding this upgrade under the County's Development Driven Cost Participation Policy.

Preliminary Design for the roadway is underway. Construction could occur as soon as 2020.
