Volunteer Victoria

2 hearts in a circleThere are a number of ways residents of the City of Victoria can give back to the community and surrounding areas—from volunteering time to donating to those in need.

The City of Victoria encourages public participation in an effort to build a sense of community. Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals and groups, at different age levels, from a few hours to years of service.

More information is available in our Volunteer Handbook and Policies (PDF).

Listed below are some ongoing volunteer opportunities. There are also volunteer opportunities at many of the City events. Please contact Alyssa Swanson for more information at 952-443-4215.

Volunteer Opportunity: Adopt-A-Storm Drain

Volunteer Spotlight: Adopt-A-Storm Drain

Volunteer fifteen minutes, twice a month, for cleaner waterways and healthier communities. Storm drains flow directly to local lakes, rivers, and wetlands, acting as a conduit for trash and organic pollutants. Adopt a Drain asks residents to adopt a storm drain in their neighborhood and keep it clear of leaves, trash, and other debris to reduce water pollution.
