Residents' Water Use Strains Capacity

Victoria residents used 4.6 times as much water in August 2018 as April 2018, the majority of which was used for lawn irrigation. At 2.3 million gallons/day, city wells, storage and water treatment plant are running at capacity for nearly 12 hrs/day. Grass needs only 1” of water/wk. Check irrigation controllers & heads for malfunctions and make sure you're not watering hard surfaces. Water restrictions are in effect and violators will be cited.

Schedule
ODD/EVEN and TIME OF DAY watering restrictions--lawn and garden sprinkling and irrigation--through September 30.

Odd/ Even:
  • Homes with even number addresses may water ONLY on even number days.
  • Homes with odd number addresses may water ONLY on odd number days.
  • No irrigation using the public water supply system between 10 am-5 pm.
