Humane Human-Coyote Conflict Resolution

Victoria residents have reported hearing coyotes howl, although there have been no verified sightings. In response to resident's concerns, the city has consulted with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The DNR's approach is first to facilitate living with wildlife by providing residents information to help prevent potential conflicts. The DNR provided "Your Guide to Avoiding Human-Coyote Conflicts" for general information, and Victoria Council Member Judy Black provided "A Template Coyote Management & Coexistence Plan" developed by The Humane Society of the United States" for a more indepth exploration of human-coyote conflict resolution.
