The City of Victoria is looking for a driven and forward-thinking community member to fill a vacancy on the Victoria City Council. With the swearing in of former Council Member Deb McMillan as the new Mayor of Victoria, a seat on the Council is now open. State law allows this seat to be filled by appointment. This at-large Council Member seat term expires on Dec. 31, 2022.
Nestled along the southwest edge of Lake Minnetonka, Victoria boasts a growing community of residents and locally owned small businesses. While expansion is a priority, the city retains its small-town atmosphere and focuses on preserving its natural resources as the City of Lakes and Parks.
This City Council seat will help shape Victoria over the next two years and beyond.
The Victoria City Council will conduct a public interview of all candidates immediately following its regular City Council Meeting on Feb. 8, 2021, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The interviews will be broadcast live on Mediacom Channel 8 and the City’s YouTube channel. Additional interview times may be scheduled as needed.
