Park Facility Rentals
Whether you want to gather with a large group of friends for a picnic or organize and host a musical concert, the Parks & Recreation Department has several space options that may be just what you need. Our options include the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand, the Lions Park Pavilion, Neighborhood Park Shelters across Victoria, and the Victoria Recreation Center's Gymnasium, Lobby Room, and Multi-Purpose Room.
Please request to rent a park facility at least seven days in advance of your requested rental date. Staff will follow up within two business days of your reservation request submission. Contact the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department with any questions at 952-443-4255.
Community Bandstand

The Charlson Thun Community Bandstand is located in the heart of downtown Victoria, Minnesota along Stieger Lake with views of Carver Park Preserve. It is the perfect place to host a wedding, concert, or other large-scale event. This facility is available for rental in one- to three-hour time blocks.

Neighborhood Park Shelters
Having a party, wedding, family reunion, or work event? Take a look at Victoria’s neighborhood park shelters! The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department takes reservations for parties starting on January 2 of each year. Neighborhood park shelters are available from May 1 through October 3. Renters of park shelters have exclusive use of the reserved shelter. The general public has use of all amenities surrounding the park shelter.

The Victoria Parks and Recreation Department will only be reserving Oak Side for private events. Fire Side will remain open to the public. Oak Side is best used for small gatherings due to limited public parking and limited seating available. The Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting requests for each year beginning on January 2.

City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department The park rental facilities available in Victoria, Minnesota are managed and maintained by, or in partnership with, the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department. |
- This facility is available for rental in one- to three-hour time blocks between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily.
- Capacity inside the Bandstand is approximately 50 people and outside of the Bandstand is approximately 200 people.
- The Bandstand may be used for weddings or other special events.
- Set-up and take-down of decorations must be done during the rental times.
- Renter understands that the general public is allowed to be in and use Bayfront Park during the rental time.
- Request to rent a park facility at least seven days in advance of your requested rental date. Staff will follow up within two business days of your reservation request submission.
- Bandstand reservations can be made 365 days in advance.
- Contact the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department with any questions at 952-443-4255.
- Users or Renters of the Bandstand may not charge for events held at the Bandstand.
- Participants may not solicit donations for any event at the Bandstand.
- No merchandise, food or beverages may be sold.
- No promotional signage is allowed in the park or attached to the Bandstand.
- No candles may be used on or in the Bandstand. Battery operated candles are allowed.
- No glass bottles or kegs are allowed in the park or Bandstand.
- Malt beverages and wine are allowed in the park and Bandstand.
- No tents or structures are allowed in the park or Bandstand.
- No sound equipment is available; each user will need to provide their own.
- Electric and lights are available if needed.
- Trash receptacles are on-site.
- Public parking is available in downtown parking lots and on-street parking stalls.
- Restrooms are available in City Hall during building hours.
- Resident Rate (Up to 3 hours): Resident: $100
- Non-Resident Rate (Up to 3 hours): $150
- Rates do not include tax.
- The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department starts taking reservations for parties starting on January 2 of each year for the Neighborhood Park Shelters.
- Park Shelters are available for rental from May 1 through October 3.
- Clean Up: The reserving group is responsible for cleaning the reserved area. All Trash must be placed in the trash receptacles.
- Alcohol: Malt beverages (beer) and wine are permitted. No kegs allowed.
- Glass: Glass is not permitted
- Tent: If the renter is planning to set up a tent near the shelter, it must be approved by the Parks & Recreation Department at the time of the rental. The Parks & Recreation Department will call for locates.
- Shelter Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
