Basic Membership Packages
The Basic Membership Packages provide access to the fitness center, walking track, open pickleball, open adult basketball, scheduled open gym, open skate, and locker room. Basic members receive a discount on select pre-registered programming and group fitness classes. Registration available online.

Community Business Discount
The VRC offers memberships to those who work or own a business in Victoria. All membership categories apply, and proof of employment or ownership is required via pay stub or alternate documentation.

The VRC works with several different insurance providers to offer health rewards, including membership reimbursements or free membership. Contact your insurance provider to see if you qualify.

Frequently Asked Questions
The VRC partners with the National Independent Health Club Association (NICHA) to provide insurance-sponsored fitness incentives. Members must meet their insurance policy visit requirements to qualify for monthly reimbursement.
How to Enroll:
1. Go to NIHCArewards.org
2. Go to "MEMBERS Options"
3. Click "First Time Enrollment"
(You must meet all requirements and be a paid member of this facility)
4. Please select your Insurance Company.
5. Enter the Zip Code of your facility to find your location
6. Click "Enroll Online" this will prompt you to complete a series of detail as that will need to be entered in order to complete your online enrollment. (Some facilities will be "Enroll", if so, you will need to talk to the Manager in order to get signed up).
7. Please read your insurance information before enrolling in Fitness Discounts.
8. You will need to fill in the blanks for the "Member Enrollment" & submit.
9. To view workout and reimbursement history you will be able to log back into NIHCAreawards.org by going to The New Member Portal - Already Enrolled. Always be sure to updated and edit your profile with any changes that is pertinent for your insurance reimbursement.
Medicare-eligible Active Older Adults with specific supplemental health insurance may be eligible for a free Victoria Recreation Center Membership.
Silver and Fit
Contact Silver & Fit to designate the Victoria Recreation Center as your fitness club. Ask for a member number and verify if you have a fee associated with your membership.

Silver Sneakers
If your Medicare health plan, Medicare Supplement carrier or group retiree plan includes SliverSneakers as part of your benefit package, you get all this at no extra cost:

Renew Active
Contact Renew Active for confirmation of eligibility and to receive your member number that begins with the letter "A". You will then bring that number into the Victoria Recreation Center to activate your membership. Renew Active members will have access to basic membership amenities.

- Youth: 0-18 years of age

- Active Military: Must provide military ID at time of purchase
- Student: Must be a full-time student
- Family: Two adults and dependent child(ren) residing in the same house.
- Child(ren) means a son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter or eligible foster child up to age 26 if still claimed on VRC member's health plan.
People who live within the City of Victoria boundaries qualify as a "resident" as well as anyone who works full- or part-time in Victoria, or owns a business in Victoria. Applicants must provide a pay stub at time of purchase for verification.
Automatic payments, or Continuous Billing, requires that members keep a credit card number on file with the VRC. Membership will automatically renew monthly until it is cancelled.
There is no enrollment fee to join the VRC.
Customers may not cancel their membership prior to the end of the membership term. If an extenuating circumstance should arise, you may submit a cancellation request to the Parks & Recreation Director for their consideration based on the circumstances. The form can be completed on the VRC website. If cancellation is approved, a $5.00 service fee will be charged for any cancellation prior to the completion of the membership term.
- Change of Membership - Upgrades may occur at any time of the month. A $5.00 administrative fee and the difference in pro-rated dues will apply. They will be collected at the time of the upgrade request.
- Involuntary Suspension or Termination - The City of Victoria may terminate memberships, with or without cause, at any time by mailing written notice to members via US mail at the address on file. Termination is effective upon mailing, or by personally delivering written notice to the member. If the City terminates your membership, a pro-rated refund may be issued for the period of time after the effective date of termination.
No. If you purchase a 1-Month Membership it will expire at 30 days and will not automatically renew. If you would like to pay monthly and have it withdrawn from a debit or credit card, you can enroll in Continuous Billing.

- Fitness Center
- Visitors ages 12-13 may use the fitness center with adult supervision (18+). A waiver must be signed by parent and youth and turned into the VRC.
- Visitors ages 14-15 may use the fitness center without adult supervision. A waiver must be signed by parent and youth and turned into the VRC. The youth is required to complete an orientation from a VRC-approved instructor.
- Walking Track and Gymnasium
- Visitors must be at least 10 years of age to use the walking track and gymnasium without adult supervision.
