Advisory Committees and Commissions
Victoria residents are invited to make an impact on their community and the future of Victoria by serving on a City advisory commission or committee.
These City Council-appointed positions are responsible for researching, reviewing and making recommendations on a variety of different issues. Interviews and appointments occur near the beginning of each year.
Parks & Recreation Committee
The Parks & Recreation Committee is the advisory body that reviews and makes recommendations on issues related to recreation, leisure, parks and open space.
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is the advisory body that reviews, researches and makes recommendations on issues related to site plans, subdivisions, land use and zoning.
Senior Advisory Committee
The new Senior Advisory Committee focuses on providing recommendations and advocating for resources, programming, and education for Victoria residents age 55+.
Meetings are normally held the first Monday of each month at 10 a.m.
