Population Projections and Census Results

The Minnesota State Demographic Center estimates Victoria’s population to be 8,775 residents residing in 2,880 households as of July 1, 2016.  The average number of persons per household is estimated to be 3.02.

From July 1, 2016- November 1, 2016, the City of Victoria has permitted 49 new single family homes and 4 townhome units or 53 new units in total.

53 units x 3.02 per household = 160 new residents in the community

8,775 (population estimate as of July 1, 2016) + 160 (new resident estimate based on permits from July 1 November 1) = 8,935 residents

The estimated population as of November 1, 2016 is 8,935 residents.
