Potential Closure of City Compost Site
Carver County will close its compost site in 2019; the Victoria City Council is considering closing our site at the same time.

The city site is small, lacks physical security, is used by non-residents and local contractors and is used when closed. These factors present operational challenges at an annual cost of $24,500. Many residents already use their garbage service, private vendors or public drop-off sites to dispose of yard waste. Closure of the Carver County site may exacerbate problems at the city site.

Residential collection, seasonal and/or on-demand, is offered by the following local vendors.

The following compost sites are owned and operated by private entities and are open to residents and businesses year-round.
